We have a peice of equipment that runs Windows 95 from a 64mb CF card.
I managed to get a 128mb CF card and with the help of some CF adaptors managed to run HD Clone and clone the card.
However the new card will not boot although when I use use it as a secondary drive every thing appears OK.
I have fixed the MBR without any joy.
Have I made a stoopid mistake somewhere, as i thought HD Clonne created an exact copy of the source drive.
This is the first ever problem I have encountered with HD Clone :(

Hm, it's probably irrelevant, but did you use automatic expansion or not? One problem with CF cards is that they sometimes show a drive geometry to the computer's BIOS which varies from card to card, and since booting relies heavily on this geometry data, things can get mixed up.
What is the message when booting does not work? Is it from the Master Boot Loader or from the Windows Bootloader, i.e. can the Master Boot loader find the active partition and jump there in order to start Windows (only the second Windows Bootloader prints the message 'Starting Windows...')
If the MBR cannot start the Bootloader, the partition table is probably still in the layout for the old CF disk. Here you should try to look into the BIOS options if you can change the CHS layout for the CF disk (if it is directly connected to the IDE bus; if you're using USB, then you're out of luck there.
It would be best in this case to use a tool to change the partition table in order for it to work with the new CHS layout.

Thanks for the reply.
It throws up 'missing operating system''
I think your right about the partition table and will look into this in the morning.
Can you recomend a tool for examaning/tweaking the partion table ??
Failing that, it looks like having to do fresh install - now where did I put those msdos 6.2 disks :)
