To access USB Hard Drives from HDClone, no BIOS settings are necessary (other than enabling USB support, but this should always be the case).
To access SATA drives it might be necessary to set the Interface to AHCI or IDE (if possible).
In order to boot from a USB disk with HDClone installed on it, you should set the boot type to USB hard disk. A broader support for bootable USB devices will be in the next version together with a new bootloader with FAT32 support. So you can install HDClone even on a 4GB Flash Drive, and the boot compatibility is also better.
