3.7.4 feedback on XP system

Post by wm4bama » Sat Apr 18, 2009 6:30 pm

I downloaded 3.7.4 and made a CD version.

Running from CD and after scanning for devices it still does not recognize my USB NTFS drive (Seagate 1.5TB Freeagent). Works fine when run from a BartPE CD.

Hopefully the next release will correct this anomally....

Alex, I searched for answers to this question but did not find a concise answer. If you will please:

What changes were made from 3.7.3 to 3.7.4?

Thanks...

As specified in the update mail for the 3.7.4 Version (which you don't get if you already downloaded the 3.7.4 version), it states:

NEW
- "Copy free areas" option increases copying and backup performance
- access to DCO/HPA protected areas of ATA/SATA drives
- disengage defective drives automatically for higher throughput

EXTENDED
- Final report with extended details on the copying process
- The English version now fully supports English keyboard layout
- rarely used options have been transfered to a separate dialog

FIXED
- Windows: partition-to-partition copy was not possible in case of both partitions are located on the same drive
- Self-booting: problems with certain types of mice (Microsoft)
