Backup/Restore multiple Partitions running from Boot Stick

Post by OPTITAS » Tue Nov 10, 2015 7:16 am

It should be possible to backup multiple partitions if booting from USB Stick. I.e. create multiple (backup) sessions and run them after done.
Scenario: Overnight Backup of a HDD containing multiple large partitions (e.g. to Images), which takes a long time.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will forward it to our developers.

For now I kindly ask you to use the HDClone command line under Windows, if that is an option. The command line interface is available from the Professional Edition on.

Running the command line version under windows is not an option because some USB Sticks are "damaged" when attaching to a windows system. Damaged does not mean a hardware defect but the OS becomes unusable.
