HDClone freeware won't boot

When I attempt to boot from the flash drive the boot fails and I get a message regarding a "consistency" error.
I've tried creating the flash drive a couple of times on different computers (older and newer motherboards) and I have tried booting from the flash drive on different computers, and each time the boot fails and I get the same error message.
Any advice?
