Restore System image to smaller drive

I want to install a 100G SSD drive in my laptop in place of the current 320G hard drive, running Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
Is it possible to make an image of the 320G System drive and restore it to a 100G SSD?
I did some searching here and can't find an answer for v4.
